This session will be a panel discussion led by a high school junior and various district employees who have personal experiences with children who have mental illness. Their experiences vary from raising their own children who struggle, to working with students in a variety of school settings. In this session you will hear stories from moms and dads who have been part of the struggle and are ready to share their experiences, especially with school, and one young man who is ready to tell you what it is like, what teachers do that doesn’t help, and what you can do to really help the students you teach.
